Swett Consulting Solutions (Theodore Swett Consulting, LLC), founded by Dr. Theodore Swett, is a boutique consulting practice dedicated to helping nonprofits, schools, and organizations design systems that are effective, equitable, and sustainable.
Dr. Swett brings over 25 years of experience across education, nonprofit leadership, and organizational consulting. His work sits at the intersection of program development, evaluation, and conflict resolution—supporting organizations in navigating complex challenges while strengthening their internal capacity.
His experience includes managing and supporting grant-funded initiatives across major public and private funding streams, including 21st Century Community Learning Centers, United Way, The Children’s Trust, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Through this work, he has developed deep expertise in aligning program design, implementation, and evaluation with funder expectations while maintaining a strong focus on community impact.
Dr. Swett is also a trained qualitative researcher with extensive experience designing and conducting process evaluations. His approach centers participant voice—particularly in youth-serving programs—through methods such as interviews, focus groups, and participatory approaches like photovoice. Rather than focusing only on outcomes, his evaluations examine how programs are experienced in practice, generating actionable insights that organizations can use to improve implementation, engagement, and effectiveness.
In addition to his evaluation work, Dr. Swett has led large-scale training initiatives and organizational development efforts. His systems experience includes working with platforms such as Salesforce, QuickBooks, Asana, Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, HubSpot, and Calendly to support operational efficiency, data tracking, and strategic decision-making.
Dr. Swett’s background spans multiple sectors. He has worked in nonprofit organizations, corporate environments, and schools, with experience in retail management, real estate management, program coordination, and education. He currently leads consulting and training efforts that support organizations in areas such as strategic planning, program design, staff development, and conflict resolution.
He holds multiple academic credentials, including a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Global Leadership and Change, a Master of Arts in Teaching Languages (MATL) in Spanish, a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion, a Master of Science in Homeland Security Administration, among others. He is certified in the State of Florida to teach K–12 French, Spanish, Social Sciences, English, and K–6 Math and Science. His additional credentials include a National Administrator’s Credential (NICCM), a Director’s Credential through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF), and certification as a County Mediator through the Florida Supreme Court.
Dr. Swett’s work is grounded in a lifelong commitment to service. He began volunteering at the age of 13, supporting students with learning disabilities, and that early experience continues to shape his approach today. Across all of his work, he is driven by a simple goal: helping organizations build systems that not only perform but truly serve the people at the center of them.
